Jordon Pugh receiving the Rising Star Award

Jordan Pugh is a Texas State University alum (2017, 2022) with a M.S. in Recreation Management and B.S. in Recreation Administration with a concentration in Recreational Therapy. She received the Jack Weiner Leadership Award in 2023 at the American Camp Association National Conference for her leadership as a young professional pursuing a career in camping. This year, Jordan is receiving the Rising Star Professional Award at the 2025 American Camp Association Texoma Legends of Camping Awards Dinner. This award honors Emerging Professionals in Camping (EPIC) for their contributions to the region and industry. Jordan has served as a volunteer for several entities over the past 7 years including the Texoma Winter Conference Planning Committee, Project Real Job Committee, ACA Staffing Summit Committee, ACA Accreditation Volunteer, and Therapeutic Recreation Professionals in Camping group. She aspired to keep providing leadership and growth to the camping industry and the medical and disability camp community as she continues her career.
